We bring a small group of accredited investors into select Broadway productions and tours. First-time investors are welcome, and we’ll answer your questions whether or not you invest.
Is it right for you? Theatre is a high-risk, illiquid investment. Your money is tied up for the life of the show, most productions never pay back their investors, and you could lose everything you put in. Invest only what you can afford to lose.
What you see before you commit
The full offering package for that production: the capitalization and weekly operating budgets, break-even and recoupment scenarios, the creative team, the key risks, the timeline and the operating agreement. We walk you through it, and we tell you what we’d want to know if we were writing the check, because we are.
What we look for
Shows that pull new people into the theatre, from a horror story on West 52nd Street to an untold chapter of American history. Numbers that work in a soft run, not just a strong one. Partners who share what they see. If a show fails any of the three, we pass, and we tell our investors why.
Where we are
OFFSCRIPT is based in Chicago, with investors across the United States. When one of our tours plays Chicago, we bring our investors together for it.

Common questions
Who can invest? Accredited investors only. We confirm accreditation before we share any offering.
How much do I need? Each production sets its own minimum. We share it, with the full budget and the offering documents, once we’ve confirmed you’re accredited.
How do investors make money? While a show runs, its weekly operating profit repays investors until they’ve been paid back in full. After that, profits are shared between investors and the producers as the operating agreement sets out.
